Itinerary description
The stage today was shorter and more beautiful than yesterday's. We passed through Reguengo, Valada and Porto de Muge where there were bars for refreshments. The last bar to have a beer was Café Cardoso in Porto de Muge where they also stamped our credentials. Until Santarém there is no more service. This area of the Ribatejo region is a very fertile land, with large areas of tomatoes, vineyards and corn. At kilometer 21 there is an amusing "Baloncho do Peregrino", a swing located on top of the dam that begins in Valada and that was built in 1881 to contain the floods of the river “Tejo”.
