Magnificent crossing through some refuges of the Triglav National Park (Slovenia) very well organized and guided by Josep Miró (Tot Natura).
The crossing has been truly spectacular, with a landscape very reminiscent of the Dolomites, since the Julian Alps are still an extension of the Dolomite mountain range and above all because it has the same type of rock, although this 'more modest height.
DESCRIPTION OF THE STAGE.
It is without a doubt the "queen" stage, both because of the significant ascent, and because of the diversity of environments we have crossed.
We left Koca Pri Savici and quickly the road went uphill. A few equipped steps have helped us to do it safely...they are not complicated, but it is not worth going down.
We reached a first lake (half empty) and, shortly after, we entered a busier path that, more gradually, took us to another pair of lakes. Next to them is the Koca Pri Triglavskim shelter, where we stopped for lunch.
We continued to climb along a signposted path. Passing a few more lakes and entering the wilder (and stony) part, where the Zasavska Koca refuge is located with spectacular views, which is one of the gateways to the Triglav massif.
