Excursion to the Triglav Park - Valley of the 7 lakes
Wednesday 13.7.2022: starting from Planina Blato (altitude 1088 m), reached by Flavio's car, the group, backpacks on their shoulders, headed to the refuge called Koča na Planini pri jezeru (1453 m). After a short stop at the refuge, the friends climbed Mount Prŝivec (1761 m) from whose summit you can admire the eastern part of Lake Bohini from a height of over 1200 m. The return to Koča na Planini pri jezeru took place via the same ascent route via Planina Viŝevnik (1625 m).
Thursday 14.7.2022: after breakfast at 7.30 am the friends left for the magnificent valley of the 7 lakes taking the high altitude path that passes through Planina Dedno Polje and crosses Planina Ovčjiaria upstream of Črno jezero (Black lake). Having reached the Koča pri Triglavskih Jezerih refuge (altitude 1685 m), and after a necessary stop to admire the landscape and sip a herbal tea of which the Refuge is famous, the group resumed their journey, moving higher in the Dolina Triglavskih jezer valley until you reach the much photographed lake Jezero Ledvicah (1831 m). Continuing the higher path, the friends were able to discover the disappearance of the green lake Zeleno jezero (1988 m). At this point the three gentlemen decided to proceed in the direction of Mount Kanjavec (altitude 2568 m) whose summit was reached via the Cež Hribarice (2358 m) in about 1 hour and a quarter of ascent. The two ladies of the group instead preferred to proceed in the direction of Zasavska koča na prehodavcih (2071 m altitude), a refuge booked to spend the night at high altitude. The Zasavska koča is located in a magnificent panoramic position on the ridge that separates the Dolina Trigvlaskih jezer from the Korita Trebiŝki dol valley and the Zadnjiŝki dol valley. At about 16.30 they were joined by three sweaty climbers from Kanjavec.
Friday, 15.7.2022: after a frugal breakfast, around 6 forty, the group, by-passing the green Zeleno Jezero lake at the top, resumed the journey heading towards Čez Hribarice (altitude 2358 m). In this place there was no lack of opportunity to photograph the splendid blooms of the high altitude alpine flora that stands out among the ravines of the rock. The long trail on the karst plateau ends on the other side of the Dolič saddle (2164 m) at the foot of his majesty Mount Triglav. Leaving behind the Tražaŝka Koča na Deliču refuge (2151 m), just 15 minutes by road from the saddle, the friends quickly descended into the Velska Dolina below, crossing it all at high altitude to the Vodnikov dom refuge (altitude 1817 m). After a refreshing stop based on strudel and herbal tea, the group resumed their journey following the track with the signs indicating the locality Rudno Polje which, bypassing Mount Tosc, crosses the Studorski preval saddle (1892 m). After a long path at high altitude, they finally descended on the Pokliuka plateau where the large Rudno Polje cross-country ski and biathlon facility (1335 m) is located. The 4:00 pm bus took friends to Stara Fužina where Mario's car had been parked three days earlier.
