Itinerary description
A day hike with plenty of twists.
Started in the city area close to the outskirts in Ermensay, walked around 3 km to the trail, passing along apple gardens to Kok Jaiylau followed by 3 Brothers, where we chased by thick clouds. Upon reaching Kumbel peak (3160 m ASL) we were met by lighting and storm, had to wait around 15 min before ascending the top of the peak. Once on the peak it started raining, so had to make a move to descend towards Trapizoid pass. Going down further it stated pouring with a hale of mais size.
Quickly crossed the river and proceeded to the Eagle’s nest as rain had stopped. Further descended to Gorelnik and Medeu.
Challenging hike, not much technically difficult, yet in such a weather becomes more difficult
