Itinerary description

Quite a nice and easy walk, but you are almost all the time (11,5 kms) walking on (very) quiet asphalt or concrete roads. You can look at the photos to get an idea.

I did this walk before. Then it was impossible to do the little detour before Vega (the only part that is not on concrete/asphalt, apart from the climb out of Ribadesella). There was a sign that the path was inundated. Most holes are filled with little stones now, but there was still one part with puddles (just before the very nice picknick spot). See the description at the photos.

I would recommend to start the walk where I started, at the 'dinosaur roundabout' (see last photo). There is ample parking space and you would walk the 1 km through suburbia first instead of at the end.

This is where the path starts that can be muddy or inundated. Recommendable though, for the views and because it's the only part that is not on asphalt or concrete.

You can detour here, but it is a bit unclear how long you should follow the small path along the right side of the inundated parts

Even if the path isn't inundated, have a look at this great picknick spot

I think I stayed too long on the little path on the right side of the puddles. I had to climb through mud, ferns, brambles and barbed wire to get back on the original path...
