Itinerary description
We did this as an through walk, staying at the bush camp next to the creek (https://www.npsr.qld.gov.au/parks/daguilar/camping.html#england_creek_bush_camp).
Well marked and graded fire trails, nothing technical although an unrelenting and steep walk in places, especially when carrying a heavy pack.

Great walk. Really easy to follow 4wd track nearly all the way, but still feels as if you're in nature away from civilisation. Some beautiful views along the way through brief gaps in the trees. Fitness requirements fairly low, and that only due to the length and weight of carrying an overnight pack (if you're planning to camp). If you want to make your life a little easier on yourself I'd recommend doing the loop anticlockwise. Whilst the sections from the start to England Creek bush camp (going clockwise) and from the start to Northbrook Mountain bush camp (anticlockwise) are pretty similar in terms of ups and downs, the track is pretty consistently up from England Creek to Northbrook Mountain. Having said that, I'm not very fit and did it clockwise with minimal soreness the day after.
England creek bush camp was lovely (barring a few sandflies that were impervious to insect repellent). The creek water also tastes pretty good (don't forget to filter) and it's lovely to dip your feet in after a day of hiking. We had morning tea at the Northbrook Mountain bush camp, great views but a little less protected from the wind (probably not an issue most of the time but worth checking the weather in advance).

Beaut walk! Did the loop anti-clockwise and was fairly easy going doing it in two days. England Creek Bush Camp is a great spot to spend the night! Finishing-off by walking through the cooler rainforest section at the Maiala end was a welcome surprise!
