Itinerary description

This is one of the best endurance hikes you can do it in a single day.. As it is a one way hike, you have to park your cars at both ends, or make suitable travel arrangements to reach from end point to start point.

The hike stars at Haqeel area / Opposite to the beginning of Wadi Shihah nearby the Jebel Jais roundabout (where the new road to JJ meets the old road).. It is basically the reverse of (part of) Highlander trail.. The trail is well marked with gradual ascend at the beginning till the Haqeel village area, and then mostly flat walk till about 9km. Then trail is then getting some serious elevation gain in the second half with sudden elelvation and a number or stairs to climb until the top point at Jebel Rahabah (nearby the tower).. The hike is then mostly descend (about 4-5km) till Jebel Jais Deck park..

As you can see from the elevation graph, the hike is mostly going up, with steep ascend towards Jebel Rahabah.. however, it is a well laid and well marked safe trail with proper had rails / supports wherever necessary.. The trail is fully exposed, has only 2 exit points so please ensure you have sufficient water and electrolytes, snacks, fruits etc. There are no water filling stations available and you will not see many hikers in this lower segment part. So please be prepared if you are attempting this hike..

Points to note:
- Mobile network is not always available in the trail
- As it is a one way hike you have to plan the transportation / logistics accordingly
- Hike starting point is accessible with sedan cars
- Trail is mostly exposed, please be prepared accordingly
- Keep enough water / electrolytes etc. according to the climate
- Recommended to do it in winter and with proper planning
- NO LITTERING PLEASE
