Itinerary description
A long full day in the mountains of Madeira. The trail follows the main high mountain ridge from west to east (and back). There are wonderful views in all direction along the entire day, all the trail jumps from ridge to ridge. Views of the northern coast, the southern mountains (pico Grande), Pico Arierio and Pico Ruvio, the east-west valleys and the panorama from the top of Ruvio. Technically the trail isn't difficult, however the chosen level takes into account the long and tiring day.
