Down to the crater of Empakai. The road is in perfect condition although steep. They are 300m of unevenness in 2km.
The most curious thing is that the route is done accompanied by an armed ranger. In theory it is to protect us from wild animals, but the truth is that we did not see one, only some flamingos flying over the lake.
We did not go around the lake for lack of time, but it can be a good option.
The night before we had camped next to the beginning of the route. Calling "camp" where we put the store would mean a lot. Let's say it was an area of 5x20 meters that had been cleaned next to the forest track. Do not worry about the track, let's say it does not have much traffic :) Also I leave a picture of the "bathroom" of the camp.
The area of the crater highlands is a little tourist zone and little traveled where it is possible to see more "authentic" masai. It allows to move away from the traditional circuits. We did not see any "mzungu".
This route can be complemented with the Olmoti Crater.
