Itinerary description

This is one of the 9 pleasant WWW walks developed within the Grenzpark Naturpark Maas Schwalm Nette. WWW stands for Wa Wa We walks: Water, Wander, World walks, or in German: Wasser, Wander, Welt, and all of the 9 trails can be followed pretty easily due to the consistent signposts, indicated with a big W on a clearly visible shield.

All information about this and the other tracks can be found on a website especially dedicated to these premium "Wanderwege" in the Maas Schwalm Nette area, a wonderful border area with lots of interesting landscapes to discover.

On your walk you cross the border to the Netherlands. The only catering option you come across is Herberg het Bos, located almost halfway when you set out from the parking area called Tackenbenden. There are also two other parking areas to start out on your walk, see the image of the track.

The track is well-signposted, so there's never any fear of getting lost in case your GPS starts playing up.
