Itinerary description

This is the Ellicott Trail which starts near the Rubicon Canyon rim, and leads down to the Rubicon River. This trail led to a homestead located across the river in the 19th century. The trail is suitable for hikers only. No motorized vehicles are allowed on this one. There are some nice stands of old growth trees remaining here. Bring some loppers and a bow saw because the trail needs to be maintained especially along the beginning sections. The trail junctions with Lawyer Trail, Slide Point Trail, and the Old Rubicon Trail. By Crossing the bridge you can connect to the Belix and Hunter's Trails.
