Gengið á gosstöðvarnar síðdegis 10. apríl eða sama dag og fjórði gígurinn opnaðist. Þessi nýjasti gígur lék vissulega aðalhlutverkið í sýniingunni en hinir eldri spiluðu undir og fjarri því að þeir væru í einhverjum dauðateygjum... Alveg er það magnað að fá þettta tækifæri til að fylgjast með náttúrunni sýna ofurkrafta sína.
Mæli með ef veður leyfir að ganga fram og til baka sömu leið og hér er gengin til baka þar sem þá er útsýni að gosstöðvum síðasta 1 til 1,5 kílómeterinn sem annars eru skjóli fjalla.
Visited the active eruption site at Fagradalsfjall in the afternoon of April 10th or the same day as the fourth crater opened. This newest crater certainly played the main role in the show, but the older ones played under and they where far away from being in the dead zone ... It's amazing to have this opportunity to watch nature show its superpowers.
I recommend if the weather allows you (if the wind blows from the south) to walk back and forth the same way as I went back, as there is a view of the eruption sites of the last 1 to 1.5 kilometers that are otherwise sheltered by the nearby mountains.
Please take care and wear proper clothes and shoes. The weather can change to the worse in minutes and there is no shelter at all on this route.
