Itinerary description

This hike follows the traditional mogote mountain trail in jarabacoa to the top, but comes back down the back side and exits behind the monastery next to the traditional trail head. Features great views on the Jarabacoa valleys and areas and a waterfall at the end. There is a slight scramble to be done at the bottom of the backside of mogote to connect back to the trail. Also behind the monastery you have to jump a fence to get back on the road towards the trail head. Beware of chasing monks.
