Itinerary description
This portion of the trail requires frequent navigational decisions. The route proceeds across intersecting ridgeline roads, all leading through rows of crops. There are few places to acquire food or water, and almost no natural shade sources. Given the small size of the villages along the road, it is possible that the few shops encountered will be closed upon arrival. There are also significant elevation changes that add to the difficulty of this section. However, the ridges offer spectacular views down lush valleys where the tops of buildings rise just above the trees.
