Itinerary description
This section includes the highest elevation on the trail, followed by a long ridge through vast coffee plantations. From these heights we can see rows of mountains to the north and south when the cloud cover lifts. Closer to the city, we encounter several organic farms that promote sustainable agriculture. San Pablo de Leon Cortes is also the last urban area on the trail before we reach the Pacific, so whatever is required for the remaining sections should be gathered there in anticipation of the journey.
