The name of the mount and the glacier comes from Edith Cavell was a British nurse condemned to death in summary trial by a German military court (World War I), for having sheltered in her hospital in Brussels up to two hundred Belgian, French and English soldiers ( evaded prisoners and killed pilots) and helped them flee Belgium and return to their combat posts.
There is a good stretch of curves by car to get to the car park, despite the multiple seats available, it is advisable to go early so as not to find many vehicles, from the parking there is a prohibited area to park due to possible flooding, but you can always park on the shoulder.
Only 5 minutes away we have the wonderful views of the glacier, if you do not want to do any trail with this you can feel satisfied.
If you feel like walking, I advise you to reach the first viewpoint (2,029m), from where you will have a front view of the glacier.
The second viewpoint is at 2,119m and only the view from a higher point.
The third lookout takes us to 2.288m, there is a strong and exhausting climb (that's why the difficult), will take us almost to the top of the mountain and again with great views of the glacier and the entire valley, nothing more
If your intention is to do all the viewpoints I advise you to go from 1 to 3 along the 1.2Km route, during the descent you will go through the 1.1km that takes you to lookout number 2.
With luck you can hear the sound of the ice cracking, the views of the crystal clear water are magnificent.
