Itinerary description

Econlockhatchee Sandhills Conservation Area in Orange County Florida. Hiking and biking are allowed, although many trails are too sandy for good biking. The parking area is off Lake Pickett Road. Much of the area traversed by the trails is oak scrub. There are some pines. The area next to the Econlockhatchee River contains wetland species. Access to the river is limited in most areas by thick palmettos and other vegetation that isn't hiker friendly. The river can be accessed along the powerline easement and select points to the north.
