Itinerary description
Lebanese Mountain Trail (LMT) section 15. Started from Baskinta, a Lebanese village situated at an altitude ranging from 1250 meters above sea level and at 40 km away from Beirut. Baskinta is renowned for its natural beauty and moderate climate.
The hike started from mekhiyil Naami garden going via dirt road and sometimes through a foot path crossing wadi el dilb to reach manboukh area. Then started ascending up in the mountain visiting some historical locations and passing by an artificial lake. After that a pass through the river lead us to see the Roman Temples of Tal Jouz before reaching zaarour lake, from there the trail continued down to reach Mtein village
