Itinerary description
this track is always on my top selection list, not only because of its appropriate length, elevation gain and comfort of natural trails, but also gorgeous sceneries all year round.
along the track, east hill village, white tower hills and xiaohun slope are especially unique for smoke trees and maples in beijing. so i highly recommend it.
i have chosen the most effective and comfortable trails this time, except the part between hilltop of xiaohun slope and entrance to down-the-hill-trail to botanical garden.
you may simply go down xiaohun slope directly to the firebreaks, rather than taking wild and bushy natural trails as i did. you won't miss it to find one-basin-of-water trail, which can be referred to in most of my tracks.
be sure to go fast since the daytime becomes shorter and shorter in late autumn and winter, and you need to descend to the foot of hills before darkness.
