Itinerary description
A spring walk around the Eagle Wind loop, with some detours for birdwatching. The Mountain Grosbeaks and Meadowlarks were out in full force. A couple of young hawks were having it out in the ponderosa forests on the north side, they wouldn't stay close enough or still enough for me to ID them. Surprisingly, there were almost no flowers, even on the south facing slopes - just a few chickweeds. A storm was still clearing out, so the Divide was still socked in.
