Itinerary description
NL - De verbinding Kruibeke (GR 5A) – Deurne (GR 565) vult een missing link in op het Europese E2-traject. Met dit kleine stukje Vlaams GR-pad kun je ononderbroken van Stranraer in Schotland via Duinkerke en Vlaanderen naar Nice in Frankrijk. Je kan dit stuk natuurlijk ook als dagtocht wandelen. Je krijgt dan een mooi stukje groene Antwerpse rand onder de voeten: de Schelde met voormalige scheepswerven en poldergebied, parken en bijzondere woonwijken. En je eindigt bij het kasteel Rivierenhof in Deurne. Download hier de gratis topogids.
EN - The connection Kruibeke (GR 5A) - Deurne (GR 565) fills in a missing link on the European E2 trail. This small stretch of Flemish GR trail allows you to hike uninterrupted from Stranraer in Scotland via Dunkirk and Flanders to Nice in France. Of course, you can also hike this stretch as a day hike. You then get to see a nice piece of green Antwerp's outskirts: the Scheldt with former shipyards and polder areas, parks and residential areas. And you end at the Rivierenhof castle in Deurne.
