Itinerary description
Dzithanits Mountain ( Ձիթհանից ) with the height of 3081 m is also known among locals as Maymekh ( Մայմեխ ).
As we have 4 mountains named by Maymekh , sometimes we refer to it as Vanadzor's Maymekh ( Վանաձորի Մայմեխ ).
Dzitanits mount is one of the top challenging mountains of Lori province.
Some information about this trail:
---There are 2 ways to climb this mount, one is from Vanadzor city and another one - from Hankavan city ( Հանքավան )
--- We climbed it from Vanadzor side, Shamuyan village ( Շահումյան գյուղ)
--- We drove half part of the trail by 4 x 4 vehicle but the hiking way to the mountain is the same ( The ascent way) .
--- When you are near the slopes of the mountain there are 2 ways, one is to climb it form the right side, another - from the left, as the slope in front of you is too steep and full of stones.
--- We climbed it by the right side and went down by the left.
--- The whole way to the summit there are stone obstacles, which are ''hikeable''.
--- The right season for Dzitanits mount is the end of May, summer and first half of autumn (before snow).
