Itinerary description
This trail is not maintained. It might seem short but has some technical hiking areas that require some hand climbing. Also there is usually a lot of poison oak that is not cut down. There are many slippery areas, and steep dangerous drop offs.
This specific track is to the main lower falls. These tall falls are a confluence of Dutch creek (south east) and Johntown creek (north). There is an even more difficult climb to the top. Having some hiking experience is highly recommended.
Parking near the trailhead is no longer possible. There is a small parking area that is part of the state park on the north side of the Mt Murphy rd bridge. This track starts there. From there it is about .5 miles. If none is avalable, then parking the main State park lots is good, just adds a little more hiking.
