Itinerary description
Most people from abroad visiting Durmitor aim for Bobotov Kuk summit as their final goal. To my humble opinion, Bobotov Kuk is the most popular but not the most beautiful route in Durmitor.
The circular route presented here will not take you to the highest summit of Durmitor but it will give you the best views. Across Prutaš, Škrka, Samar and Štit, the visitor passes three glacier valleys, stops for recharge at the magnificent Škrčko jezero, and goes three times up and down 2000m altitude. It is a challenging route with 1200m total ascent in 16km, but the effort pays back on every step: astonishing sights change fast in time, there are no dull sections, and only a few people are met along the trail, if any at all.

Is it possible to go from Prevoj Samar to Bobotov Kuk, then return and continue the route back to Šarban?

Difficult
The second ascending is very difficult because it has no marks on the land and also require decent technical skill. I had to miss it because I had been exhausted by the time I reached it though I consider myself as a moderate hiker. Apparently the guys who recordered it definitely have very high technical skill, so be sure of your skill before starting it.
