Itinerary description

A varied walk, beautiful woodland and riverside paths climbing up to high moorland. The walk starts at the Webber’s Post car park and follows a path along the East Water valley before starting to climb through Sideways Wood out onto the moor. We then climb two peaks, Dunkery Hill and Dunkery Beacon. On the descent there are lots of opportunities to see deer. The route passes Stoke Pero Church before returning to the Wood and a lovely riverside path which enters Horner Woods. We stopped for tea in Horner Village at the excellent tea room before a short climb back to the car park.

Beautiful walk, thanks! We started from the camping ‘Burrowhayes Farm’. Really easy to follow.
