Itinerary description
Very flat, easy terrain, much of it on pavement. Continue on to the gravel 'road' and around the ponds to the river. Be sure and listen in the thickets for critters that we never saw but nest and feed and rest in there. Follow the river NW and past the fork to view a decent sized canyon with deep water rushing below. Who would think??? Such an awesome oasis in the middle of the desert (and so close to town, too).
