Itinerary description

Starting out at Coolalingo B&B, take a left at the crossroads & right once over the bridge & past the old barracks.
A nice steady ascent takes you up & over the mountain to where you take a sharp right up onto a railway sleeper boardwalk.
This climbs steadily & opens out onto a pretty little track through forestry.
At the end take a right & up tracks to the top of the mountain where you descend again.
Basically this trail is lots of up & down forestry tracks, paths & some walking on roads, mostly minor ones with very little traffic.
Eventually when you come down & out of the forestry, take a right & walk along a pretty lane. Turn right, cross the bridge & follow the road along to Knockananna.
We took a diversion of the Way to find a pint (O Keefes - great bar!), food & to stock up with supplies in the local shop.
In general, at times, it's necessary to come off the Way in order to appreciate the countryside & the meet people, other than fellow walkers!
