Itinerary description
Easy walk on quiet Langness peninsula to Langness point and Dreswick point, passing by the lighthouse and the Herring Tower. The start is on a parking lot at the end of a minor road in bad condition which leads across the golf course. Here you follow the coastal footpath (Raad ny Foillan) on the west side of the peninsula. Here you have great views across Castletown Bay towards Castletown. Close to the lighthouse you turn right towards Langness point on minor paths. You turn back the same path and continue the coast path towards the lighthouse, which is supposedly owned by Jeremy Clarkson. On the south side is Dreswick point where you find a fog horn. This is also the most southern point of the Isle of Man. From here you follow the coast path for a while before you turn left on smaller tracks towards the Herring Tower. After a short inspection you go back to the parking lot.
