Itinerary description
A marked track leading from the Dreki-hut westward over the massif Dyngjufjöll to the caldera of Askja. Descending from the mountain you have a fascinating view over Öskjuvatn and Víti. In summer 2014 this path was temporarily closed due to a landslide in the caldera. Not recommended when it is foggy!
