This a long(er) and technically not demanding trail in the Žumberak & Samobor Hills Nature Park. It's literally a stroll in the woods, without any difficult terrain, except for a few steeper descends and ascents. Basic hiking equipment will be sufficient.
The flaw of this hike is the fact that more than half of it is on gravel/paved roads, which serve as the thoroughfares through the Nature Park. The forests in the hills are nice, especially in the autumn season, but the hike does lean towards being boring due to all the road-walking.
The highlight of the trail is the mountain lodge "Žitnica", a popular picnic area - where most people get by car! In any case, you can get a good cold or hot meal there, beverages of all kinds, and desserts. The lodge, and also the nearby peak Japetić, provide the best views on this hike - if you're lucky and fog doesn't obstruct the panorama.
For more details on specific waypoints, read the waypoint descriptions.

Completely free car parking at Dragonoš, basically on the side of the road. It even may be on private property, but no one will bother you. There's an alternate and bigger parking place just outside of Dragonoš, on the Japetić/Dragonoš crossroads, also free.

House/lodge near Zečak
Just left of this house, you can climb a small hill and go directly through the bushes and then right towards Zečak peak. However, if you continue past the house, you will get on the hill which provides a nice panorama of the surrounding nature.
Zečak (knoll)
The whole grassy knoll is called Zečak, while the peak itself is a bit higher up. However, it does not offer a view, so this is the place to get your money camera shots!
Zečak (795 m)
The highest point on the Zečak knoll/hill. It's an unimpressive place completely enclosed by trees which obstruct every view.
Intersection #12 / left or right
We took the place on the right, but got lost a bit and improvised to the next intersection. To stay surely on the course, just continue left on the main road.
'St. Hubert' hunters' lodge and firing range
The hunter's lodge is located near a creek, and the ruins of an old mill.
Intersection #15 / right or straight
Either way you go, you can reach "Žitnica". The way straight goes completely on gravel roads, while the way right should go partly through hills.

Japetić (879 m)
Japetić peak wouldn't be impressive if it wasn't for the steel tower which serves as a watch-post. It's a protected cultural site, and it's history is detailed on the info-table located near it.
Intersection #24 / alternate car park
This parking place serves as the starting point to the hike to Japetić, for those who don't want to drive ALL the way up there. It's also a good alternate spot to start this whole trail.
