Itinerary description
Parking next to B49 at the starting point, 8-10 places
Signage: follow the salamander-sign!
Fairly easy stroll in and out of Dortebachtal. You’ll start by going uphill via well graded switchbacks. Just before you are out of the forest and walking next to fields there is a 200 meter detour towards Kasteschkopp where you have a 180 degree view over the Mosel and the town of Klotten. I highly recommend checking it out!
The midpoint is also the highest point at Annischerhof, a big farm where you also find a chapel.
From there on you descend back to Dortebachtal along switchbacks passing by Dortebach wasserfall, which was a very tiny fall of water when we passed by in September. I guess you’ll find a more mentionable waterfall earlier in the year, before summer.
