Itinerary description
Round route. Without any technical difficulty. The path is perfectly marked. Most part of the route can be made by bike, but on foot there are some alternative beautiful paths along pines and with shadow.
The excursion starts in the village Unterberg, where we parked the car. The first 4 kms go up along a dirt wide path, then we took a nice path under pine trees up to the small chapel Drei Waller. The we go on the ascent along a similar path up to the summit. The views there are really nice and it is a good place for some photos and a small break.
Now we start going down along the same path for a couple of kms. Then we take a well indicated and easy path to reach the Kögerlalm, where you can drink a cold beer and eat something. Some cyclists got to this hut by bike.
Now we walked by the chapel again and we returned along the same path.
Nice and easy excursion without any risk, suitable for everybody who is able to walk during 6 hours.
Walking sticks and mountain boots are recommended.
