Itinerary description

Dorfertal: Dabaklamm - Berger Alm - Kalser Tauerhaus - Dorfersee
The car must be parked in the free parking 400 mt before the starting point of this route.
This educational hike starts close to the outer limit of the national park Hohe Touer and it includes 8 information points about the history and the fauna of the valley.
It begins with a comfortable wide road along the river, which does not let you foresee the amazing path through the Dabaklamm gorge that you are about to pass through. I cannot stop taking photos...awesome!
After the gorge, a narrower and nice path among lush vegetation and de reach soon the hut Bergeralm (1.636m). Walking along a wider path escorted by an army of milk cows you reach the next hut, Kalser Tauerhaus (1.755m). Going on upwards on a rocky path leads you to the lake Dorfersee into the inner zone of the national park.
