Itinerary description
Suva Planina (Serbian Cyrillic: Сува планина, meaning "dry mountain") is a mountain in southeastern Serbia. It lies between the towns of Niška Banja to the northwest and Babušnica to the southeast, with a ridge branching towards Bela Palanka to the north. It was previously called Kunovica. Trem Peak ("porch") 1810asl, is highest point of Suva Planina.
Trail was organized by Mountaineering Club Zeleznicar Nis, this was their 26th traditional tour. Start point was Donji Dusnik. Very well marked path, on some points there were fixed security ropes for safety as terrain is slippery on few sections. We used crampons only on descent due to melting slippery snow and mud.
Winter equipment is required on this trail even if you think elevation is only 1810 asl do not underestimate the mountain.
I highly recommend to visit Trem, the view from the top is priceless and entire route is wort the efforts.
