Itinerary description
This is a really beautiful hike with lots of varied scenery. Boracki Krs has great views and is a fairly easy climb. If you do this hike on a Sunday the church at the end may be open - it is very beautiful and very old inside.
You can see on our trail map that we got a bit confused and went the wrong way at three points. Hopefully you can do better than us and avoid the backtracking. It probably added an extra 1 km to the length of our hike. Most of the trail is not marked and at several points where paths converge it can be a bit difficult to find the right way. Make sure you have the trail downloaded in advance, so you can GPS track - there is no mobile reception for much of the hike.
An alternative option to the trail we did would be to walk through the village (at about the half way point - there is only one village on this hike) and along the road to Borac, then up to Boracki Krs and back. I have done that version of the hike too, but forgot to record it.
The first 60 per cent of this hike or so (up to the village), is in land that is used by hunters. This is why hikers should always wear bright clothing, especially on foggy/grey days!

Take the lower path
Don't do what we did and get distracted by the scenery and forget to follow the trail. The markings clearly indicate you should go down.

This is the new Borac cemetery - you will come to the old one shortly, which is truly beautiful
