It is a very nice short hike in this amazing region of Vietnam. You will cross very small villages with no tourists.
A few advices : around km 3, I advise you to keep walking on the road because the small pass is not used a lot and I had to wet my feet a bit and by the end there was almost no path at all and I had to walk threw high weeds without seeing my feet anymore.
Also around km 3.5 I took the higher road (on the east side) instead of the one Florence took, I think you have a nicer view, you will go threw a very small village and stay on the same level instead of going down and up again.

I followed this trail in reverse order starting at Plum Homestay in Dong Van. I did not use the Wikiloc App but the downloaded GPX track instead. I liked the hike a lot as it takes you through an area with no tourists at all. The scenery is gorgeous and the hike is easy. Getting up from Plum Homestay to the road takes you along a footpath through some steep meadows. After you hit the road it is very easy walking.
