DOL 12-Lago Misurina y refugio Città di Carpi // Misurina lake and Città di Carpi hut

<<< English follows >>> Nuestra última ruta en los Dolomitas la hacemos desde el pueblo de Misurina, subiendo al refugio Città di Carpi y bajando por el bosque hasta el lago. La subida hasta el refugio la comenzamos en telesilla y luego es un camino sencillo, amplio, entre bosque y de suelo de piedra, como casi todos en Dolomitas. El refugio nos sirve como lugar para desayunar y como punto para disfrutar de las vistas al Gruppo dei Cadini. Para descender no seguimos la línea del telesilla sino que nos abrimos un poco hacia la izquierda, por un bosque que es el hábitat de grupos de vacas. Ese descenso es sencillo pero hay un par de lugares “complicados” por la cantidad de mierda de vaca acumulada en el camino, sobre todo el segundo. Afortunadamente, al final de la bajada hay un riachuelo en el que limpiar las botas. Mi consejo: no hagas esta ruta con zapatillas de deporte sino con unas buenas botas altas. <<< English >>> Our last route in the Dolomites is from the village of Misurina, ascending to the hut Città di Carpi and descending through the forest down to the lake. The ascent to the hut begins on a chairlift and, afterwards, it is a easy, wide path, in the forest and with rocky floor, like almost all the trails in the Dolomites. The hut is fine as a place for breakfast and as a viewpoint to enjoy the views of the Gruppo dei Cadini. The descent does not follow the line of the chairlift: instead we open the path a little to the left, through a forest that is the habitat of groups of cows. That descent is simple but there are a couple of "complicated" places due to the amount of cow shit accumulated on the floor, especially the second one. Luckily, at the end of the descent there is a creek in which you can clean the boots. My advice: do not do this route with sneakers but with good pair of high boots.
