Itinerary description

Very scenic and diverse trail! Hike is quite challenging due to the ascend and length; you can just hike until Doi Lanka Noi (the smaller but very scenic one), so you can definitely make it within a day hike; please be careful when descending from Doi Lanka Noi: the slope is very steep and often even slippery because of the sand and many stones; if you prefer to climb both but don’t want to rush you can camp in the mountains since there are several spots for that (see my pics), in this case, be aware that the temperatures fall at night quite rapidly; unfortunately I hardly had any view from Doi Lanka Luang due to cloudy weather, however, I can guess that the view must be stunning on clear days; if you have a transport you could proceed the hike until the Doi radar station which will be another 8-9 km from Doi Lanka Luang; if you’re interested see the Nick Hope‘s trail record and his video
