Itinerary description
The trail is located in Sharbot Lake Provincial park and starts/stops at a small parking lot at the end of the Ridge View Campsite area. While not particularly long it has some nice views of Sharbot Lake and several groups of people had grabbed some nice spots to go for a swim or relax in the sun.
The trail is easiest along the shoreline but keep a close eye on young kids, there are lots of roots and rocks to trip over. The inland section is more challenging but not quite as scenic. If you want to lengthen the hike you can start/stop at your campsite or from one of the beaches located in the park.
For canoeists and kayakers the start of the trail is the portage from Black Lake to Sharbot Lake.

Black Lake lookout
Signpost 6, one of 8? signposts found along the hike. I'm guessing there is a write up somewhere that explains a particular feature but I'm not sure where you would get this (Park Office??).

Sharbot Lake
Between signpost 4 and 3 (they are very close together). Nice views of the lake and several places where you could rest or go for a swim.

Portage
A short portage trail runs from Black Lake (where most of the park facilities and campsites are) over to Sharbot Lake. The portage length is around 150 meters with only a minor change in elevation.
