I tried to do this trail as I noticed a sign one day while driving to Kykkos. It was a new trail I hadn't seen before and looked quite interesting. Sadly the trail ended at Xystarouda picnic site and I couldn't find the continuation from there. I spent an hour walking around in different locations but there was simply no trail. I eventually found a couple of rangers from the forestry department that confirmed there is no trail in the direction I was looking for. I drove by again a week later and saw another sign at a different spot where the circular trail was supposed to end so maybe there was work still going on with opening it. I'll surely try it again another day.
I was bored to go back the same way and it was already noon on a hot summer day so I walked back along the road. Hopefully next time I'll have more luck.
