Itinerary description
Dino Valley is an amusement park build next to old jeep track.
We followed the jeep track to the Phareela rest house. It was a beautiful day with plenty of sunlight to make up for the vitamin D deficiency.
Hike is very easy and there barely is any hard part.
You pass through lush green forests and saddles which offer you views of both sides of the ridge.
Just 20 minutes before the rest house, we met a man who offered us a stay at his place where we offered prayer, drank refreshing water and prepared the olive tea.
Once of our companion sells his own brand of olive tea which he brought and made at the spot. The host offered us lunch but we thanked and were on our way to guest house.
Rest house has it's walls and to some extent it's floors intact. There was a fire couple of years ago which burnt the pine trees and rest house' roof. Rest of the fixture from the house was either taken by people or is stored in the locked store room. It was a very scenic place with a dried pond in the back and more than a dozen horses grazing.
There also were some remains of step gardens which became wild after the fire perhaps.
From there we started our hike back.
You can further hike down to Neelan Bhoto from the rest house as the jeep road takes you down the valley on the left. Whereas on your right, descend will take you to Shahdara village.
