Dinara (1830 m) es la cima más alta de Croacia. Su nombre está relacionado con la montaña Dinara (macizo) y la cima. Dinara se convirtió en el símbolo de la cadena montañosa más larga de los Balcanes y le dio su nombre, Los Alpes Dináricos, que se extienden desde Eslovenia, sobre Croacia, Bosnia y Herzegovina, Monte Negro y acaba en Albania.

Para llegar al inicio de la ruta se tiene que recorrer una pista de unos 14km que parte desde las afueras del pueblo de Knin. La ruta transcurre por una zona militar, así que puede que os encontréis militares o patrullas policiales que controlan la frontera. La ruta la iniciamos desde el refugio de Brezovac Dinara, ya que pasado éste la pista se complica un poco.

Iniciamos la ruta siguiendo la pista que nos llevó en una subida mantenida hacia el inicio del sendero marcado con un poste indicativo a nuestra izquierda. En el siguiente indicador, el desvío nos indicó un refugio totalmente equipado a 2 minutos del sendero que nos llevó a la cima, todo un lujo.

El sendero empieza a ser más rocoso una vez nos acercamos a la cima, haciendo algún collado pero sin complicaciones. Desde el mismo, divisamos la cima, a la que llegamos dando un pequeño rodeo.

En la cima encontramos una pequeña construcción roja que nos permite resguardarnos en caso de viento o lluvia, y la propia cima.
Para la vuelta, deshicimos el mismo camino de la ida hasta nuestro vehículo.

Dinara (1830 m) is the highest peak in Croatia. Its name is related to the Dinara mountain (massif) and the top. Dinara became the symbol of the longest mountain range in the Balkans and gave it its name, The Dinaric Alps, which stretch from Slovenia, over Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Monte Negro and ends in Albania.

To get to the start of the route, you have to follow a 14km track that starts from the outskirts of the town of Knin. The route runs through a military zone, so you may come across soldiers or police patrols that control the border. We start the route from the Brezovac Dinara refuge, since after this the track becomes a bit more complicated.

We started the route following the track that led us on a sustained climb towards the start of the trail marked with a signpost on our left. At the next indicator, the detour indicated a fully equipped refuge 2 minutes from the path that took us to the top, a real luxury.

The trail starts to get rockier once we get closer to the top, making some hills but without complications. From it, we can see the top, which we reached by taking a small detour.

At the top we find a small red construction that allows us to take shelter in case of wind or rain, and the top itself.
For the return, we undid the same path of the outward journey to our vehicle.
