Itinerary description
Challenging hike for the whole day. Beautiful places very close to Tbilisi. There is often a strong wind in these area. It is better to have a winstoper.

Starts off easily, following a dirt road. Climbs up out of the forest and follows a pretty, exposed ridge. Side trip to a small lake possible. When you start coming off the mountain the trail becomes fainter, passing through stinging nettle patches and thorns at times. Then, after some near bushwhacking, you exit the forest behind the Saint Vasil monastery. No females are permitted here, and this regulation is avidly enforced! After the monastery, you hook up with the main dirt road which leads out — over a pass — to the Lisi Lake valley. Fun hike!
