The ascent was made starting from the village of Ano Lambovou. It wasn't just a route, and you'll understand that later.
We arrived early in the morning in the village where we were greeted by some of the few people left. Their main occupation is animal husbandry, but they also have several vineyards. It was something special, but the low brightness did not allow us to capture these moments with the camera lens.
From the village we followed a path that was shown to us by a shepherd who passes his animals. Next to a beautiful ravine with water. Later we continued sometimes on the former military road and sometimes on paths until we reached the top.
The view from the mountain of Bouretos cannot be forgotten. Because it filled you with pride facing the villages of Deropolis. From Morgana to Dervitsani.
We continued as we had planned on the "naked" ridge as it is on every mountain, but on this mountain there was much more human intervention.
Looking at the camps, the streets and the countless kilometers of forts and tunnels made you think.
Our plan was to cross the mountain on its "backbone" and end up in the village of Ano Episkopi! However, not having visited the southern part of Bouretos again, we did not know the paths and our route ended at the church of Panagia, which is located between the villages of Radati and Ano Episkopi.
