DIAMOND HILL (Galway, Ireland).
Climb to the most iconic summit (442 m) of the Connemara National Park, in County Galway, Ireland. Very affordable and busy route, with spectacular panoramas. On the way up you can enjoy views of the ocean and Ballynakill bay (village of Letterfrack and Tully Mountain). Once on the summit, the sublime horizon of the lacustrine valley of Kylemore Abbey (to the northwest) and the Twelve Pins mountain range (to the northeast).
The path is comfortable, often intervened with gravel, wooden walkways or stones: the latter help to overcome the steepest sections in the final part of the ascent, a tad pronounced in the last 800 meters, although nothing that can not be solved with patience . People of all ages (5-70 years) and condition reached the summit on the day we made the route (July 2017). Yes, there are signs that warn of the risk in case of adverse weather conditions, with special emphasis on the care that should be taken in case of rain and fog.
With a slow pace, we used 1:20 hours to reach the summit.
The first half of the itinerary is shared with two other routes [in the official plans of the park: the yellow one (the shortest one) and the dwelling (slightly longer than the previous one)], which bring the cimera pyramid closer to those who do not want to finish the ascent (the complete route is marked in red). The purple route (the intermediate one) already allows to enjoy good views of the ocean, the bays of the Atlantic coast and islands.

לטפס לפסגה האיקוני ביותר (442 מ ') של הפארק הלאומי Connemara, במחוז Galway, אירלנד. מאוד זול ועמוס התוואי, עם פנורמות מרהיבות. בדרך למעלה תוכלו ליהנות מנופים של האוקיינוס ומפרץ באלינקיל (Ballynakill Bay) (כפר Letterfrack ו- Tully Mountain). פעם על הפסגה, האופק הנשגב של עמק לאקוסטרין של קיילמור אבי (מצפון-מערב) ואת רכס הרי שתים עשרה (לצפון-מזרח).
השביל נוח, לעתים קרובות מתערב עם חצץ, שבילי עץ או אבנים: האחרונים עוזרים להתגבר על החלקים התלולים ביותר בחלק האחרון של העלייה, טד בולט ב 800 מטרים האחרונים, אם כי שום דבר שלא ניתן לפתור עם סבלנות . אנשים מכל הגילאים (5-70 שנים) ומצב הגיעו לפסגה ביום שעשינו את המסלול (יולי 2017). כן, ישנם סימנים המזהירים את הסיכון במקרה של תנאי מזג אוויר קשים, עם דגש מיוחד על הטיפול שיש לנקוט במקרה של גשם וערפל.

המחצית הראשונה של המסלול משותפת עם שני מסלולים אחרים [בתכניות הרשמיות של הפארק: אחד הצהוב (הקצר ביותר) והמגורים (מעט יותר מהקודם)], שמביאים את פירמידת הסימרה קרוב יותר לאלה שאינם רוצים לסיים העלייה (המסלול המלא מסומן באדום). המסלול הסגול (הביניים) כבר מאפשר ליהנות מנופים טובים של האוקיינוס, מפרצי החוף האיים והאיים האטלנטיים.

Maravillosa ruta dentro de las colinas Irlandesas, con unas impresionantes vistas técnicamente nada difícil, poca altura, mas sin embargo no se si por el viento , la humedad del aire, los cambios bruscos en el clima irlandés o por la magia en sí de la montaña, físicamente se cobra su precio, por lo que nada de subestimar sus 400mts
