Third stage of our trekking through Kilimanjaro. This day will be essential to acclimatize to the altitude, since we will climb up to 4600 meters but descend to 4000 meters to sleep. This is the best way to get used to the body to these conditions ... is the strategy of the "teeth of the saw" (up-down, up-down, up-down).
In the rise that goes from Shira Caves to Lava Tower (4600 mtrs) the vegetation disappears and only the volcanic rock remains (forming a spectacular landscape).
To me the ascent to Lava Tower was hard for me from the psychological point of view since that was where I had my first gag and headache. Luckily, at the end of the stage when I went down to sleep at the Barranco Hut camp, it completely passed me by. In this descent we could enjoy a kind of very striking plants.
The Barranco Hut camp is also in a very cool place, at the foot of Barranco Wall (a "wall" 200 meters high that the next day will have to cross).
At night we will enjoy like every day a sky crowded by millions of stars ... so much that one became dizzy just by looking at the sky.
In the evening at this altitude it starts to get cold (between 5º and 0º)
