Day 10 Dzonglha (4.850m)
Maybe today was the most extreme day of my life. We woke up at 5:00 am It was very cold about 11 ° negative, we took it and then we left, as it did not stop snowing the day before, the snow cover covered all the trail and we were the first group to pass, in the queue after the guide I went , I tried to tread exactly on his foot to keep from slipping, but along the way it was very difficult not to slip, we left Thagna for a valley, lasted for about 2 hours, I felt my toes frozen, the sun was touching the high part of the valley and all I wanted was to get in the sun and warm my body and soul, how cold!
When we arrived at 5,090 altitude, we saw the Chola Pass (Chola Pass), the step is the passage between two mountains, it was unbelievable that we were going to pass by, we were impressed, with the height and inclination, it was a wall of snow and loose stones of all sizes. From this point we descended a valley full of stone and soon we climbed up the Chola pass, it was incredible, the impression is that we were going to slide down and down at any moment, at 1:30 we won the climbs we reached 5,420m, it was a lot We could see the tip of Everest, we took some pictures but the cold did not let us stay there for a long time, we waited almost desperate for one of our Sherpas who had not arrived, they were almost ten minutes down, protecting us from the wind. From there it was only descent and I thought now it's quiet, I thought wrong, the descent in the snow was super dangerous and tense, maybe it was harder to climb up the step, it was almost 4h of descent, a physical and mental effort that we arrived extremely tired in Dzonglha, at 4,850m, from there it was only eating and sleeping.
