Day 4
Trekking carried out in October - November 2019 with Javier Aznar and our guide Janga.
Today is cold. It has started to rain and reaching Machermo it was snowing.
The day is very short, it goes up about 400m in just over 2 hours.
The height is noticeable and we walk little by little.
As the weather is not good, we will only stop for a moment to have tea and warm up.
In the afternoon we will do a little acclimatization to pass the time going up the hull a few hundred meters more.
We leave Dhole at 4050m along the only path that connects the towns and we pass through an area where the land is still cultivated.
The ground is bare and there is not a tree left.
From here the only fuel will be Yak manure.
On the last climb before reaching Machermo it is really cold, snowing and the wind is blowing.
We go as quickly as possible to the Lodge, the Machermo Bakery to have a tea, change our clothes and get warm.
At night it is cold that the water freezes inside the bathroom.
It will be the first day that we take out the sleeping bag.
