Itinerary description
PLEASE READ BELOW BEFORE YOU GO.
You need to first go to "Kandegama Temple" and get permission from the Chief priest and they will keep your ID or passport with details and also will give you contact of the temple for you keep with you in case you need help along the way (although keep in mind there will be no 4G reception at places but it does at the top of the rock and normal calling signal will be available)
There are many little monks. Please bring some gifts for them at least biscuits or make a small donation to the temple. (They don't ask for it. But they are willing to help if you are trouble)
There were many dogs in the temple and 3 of them followed us to top and back and actually they know the way and sometimes it helps to follow them and also you have company and not alone 😊
This is a moderate to difficult hike as there are places that you need to climb and also the paths is not easy to find. If you are a rookie to jungle, a guide is recommended. If not it will be very difficult to find the path. We manage to do it by our self's and managed to find the path back and forth. This track is only till top and make sure to remember your way down as it might get confusing at some places.
