Itinerary description
The Delphi-Kirra ancient path
We will have the unique opportunity to follow the footsteps of the pilgrims of the Delphic Oracle. As Kirra was the ancient port of Delphi, people had to walk from this port until Delphi and the reverse. So, from an altitude of almost 550 meters, just outside of the archaeological site, we will walk along the Plestos river valley with the famous Olive Grove of the Kressean land until the bay of Kirra. An estimation of time that is needed to cover the distance is 3 to 4 hours walking. It’s a route without difficulties.
An alternative route is Kirra - Delphi. (c)
